4th of july Parade
Join One Small Act Miami County in Troy’s 4th of July Parade!
Come walk with us as we celebrate community, connection, and kindness at this year’s Troy 4th of July Parade!
We’d love for you to join us—everyone is welcome.
We will meet at Hobart Arena at 8:00am. The parade starts at 9:00am.
A few things to keep in mind:
We’ll be walking, so please wear comfortable shoes.
The parade is rain or shine, so dress accordingly and be weather aware.

“I Belong” Project Recording Session
We need your voice.
One Small Act Miami County is inviting residents of Miami County—both LGBTQ+ community members and allies—to participate in a powerful video project that will premiere during our Pride Day event on July 25.
Over the past several weeks, we’ve heard people claim that we are somehow “bringing” the LGBTQ+ community to Troy. The truth is much simpler:
We’ve always been here.
We are your neighbors, coworkers, friends, family members, classmates, and community members. We belong here, and our goal is to respond to hate with something stronger—love, visibility, and community.
We’re asking participants to record a short video clip simply saying:
“I belong.”
If you’re comfortable, you can also share your name and how you identify. That’s entirely up to you.
Whether you’re LGBTQ+, an ally, or someone who believes everyone deserves to be welcomed and respected, we want you to be part of this project.
Recording Sessions will be held at One Small Act Miami County in the Stouder Center: 1100 S Wayne St; Suite 1212; Troy, OH 45373.
We’ll have a backdrop, microphones, and everything ready to go. The process takes less than five minutes.
If you currently live in Miami County—or even if you once called Miami County home—we want your voice included.
The more people who participate, the bigger the impact.

Are you a high school senior who missed out on getting your senior photos taken?
Or maybe you had photos done, but didn’t feel like you could truly show up as yourself?
We see you. And this is for you.
One Small Act Miami County has partnered with Studio Fifty Photography to offer 10 high school seniors the chance to have the photo session they deserve.

Cost: One non-perishable food item to be donated to One Small Act Miami County

The American Empathy Project
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be participating in the American Empathy Project on May 2nd! Led by the American Humanist Association, the American Empathy Project has funded 101 service projects nationwide that will empower community members to combat our country’s crisis of cruelty. One day of action — one unified push to fight for empathy!
On May 2, we will be providing Meals in a Bag to 100 families—each designed to be easy, nourishing, and accessible.
📍 Location: South side of the Stouder Center

🕐 Time: 1:00–2:30 PM (or until supplies last)
Each family can receive:
🥗 A Meal in a Bag
🪥 An oral hygiene kit generously donated by Challenger Aviation Products
🍽️ A chance to taste the meal before you make it at home
This is all about making care tangible—meeting needs with dignity, connection, and compassion.
No registration required—just come by, and we’ll take care of the rest.
